Interested in getting involved? You might choose to work with a local group opposing the jail.
We are a diverse and otherwise unaffiliated collective of Dane County residents who believe in abolishing the prison industrial complex and oppose the construction of a new, expanded, or even renovated Dane County Jail.
We meet every other Tuesday at 8:00pm at the Rainbow Bookstore Cooperative, 426 Gilman St., to discuss philosophies, strategies, and upcoming actions. The Rainbow Bookstore is less than a block from the 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 27, 28, 29, 37, 38, 47, 56, 57, 58, 70, 71, 72, 81, and 82 bus lines.
You may choose to get involved through writing, researching, and other tasks through shared online documents. We have teams working on alternatives, the website, filming/video editing, and more.
